Village of Mason residents can take trash and recycling, at no cost, to the Mason Area Solid Waste Disposal location at 24670 Bibon Road (2 miles south of the village).

Gates are open Saturdays from 9 am - 3pm year round and Wednesdays 3pm-7pm May-September.  (Closed major holidays.)

General household trash must be in white or clear trash bags.

Large, specialty trash items require a fee for drop-off.  See below:

Shingles, concrete, scrap metal:  $85/ton, $15 min

Couches, chairs, mattresses: $30 each

Computer CPUs, laptops, personal copiers, scanners, printers: $10 each

Fax machines: $5 each

Computer monitors: $20 each

TVs up to 30": $30 each

TVs over 30": $40 each

Big screen/projection TVs: $60 each

Misc. electronics: $10 each

Appliances with Freon (AC units, fridge, freezer, dehumidifier): $35 each

Stoves: $25 each

Hot water heaters: $25

Tires: $15 each

Large truck tires (attendant's discretion): $25 each

Fluorescent bulbs less than 4': $2 each

Fluorescent bulbs 4' or longer: $2.50 each

Standard household light bulbs: $1 each

Not accepted: Antifreeze, paint/stain/varnish, solvents/thinner/gas/diesel, mercury bulbs, thermometers, or waste oil.

For anything not listed above, speak with the attendant at the disposal site.

Residents may also setup curbside trash pickup, at their own expense, with any of the trash services that operate in the area.
